SRK Fans Hit Back At Trolls After 'Spitting' Controversy; Share A Clip From My Name Is Khan
Defending SRK, fans shared an old clip from his old movie My Name Is Khan, where his character is seen doing the same.
Shah Rukh Khan is trending on the micro-blogging site Twitter for two different reasons. One is because of a beautiful picture captured at Lata Mangeshkar's funeral in Mumbai, where he could be seen offering Dua.
Another one is a video/picture, where people have gone on to accuse the actor spat on veteran singer Lata Mangeshkar's mortal remains.
These false and misleading claims against actor Shah Rukh Khan were triggered when Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)'s Haryana IT cell in-charge Arun Yadav and Hindi news channel Sudarshan News posted tweets.

However, Shah Rukh Khan's fans jumped in his defense and schooled everyone that what SRK did was part of dua, a well-known and well-documented Islamic ritual.
Fringe targetting @iamsrk by falsely accusing him of spitting at #LataMangeshkar Ji¡¯s funeral should be ashamed of themselves. He prayed & blew on her mortal remains for protection & blessings in her onward journey. Such communal filth has no place in a country like ours ???? pic.twitter.com/xLcaQPu1g8

The gesture SRK did was to blow air so that the prayer reaches the person it is intended for.

To be able to spin Shah Rukh Khan¡¯s performing a Dua and blowing on Lata Mangeshkar, a sign of respect and blessing in his religion, to a defiling act like spitting only proves that so many out there only think about how to demonise Muslims next. pic.twitter.com/c9gfGGQXAz

Muslims say a prayer on their breath and blow it, as if sending physical manifestation of it, on whomever they¡¯re making that Dua for.

Shah Rukh Khan did the same. He does it in My Name is Khan too. And I do it on my friends & family.
Cultures are fascinating, get to know them.
My name is Khan. Everyone liked it. Here too #ShahRukhKhan is praying. In the same manner as he had prayed on the body of #LataMangeshkar ji yesterday. Go back to the past and make the film flop bhakt brigade. pic.twitter.com/oWozGp0Uig

Also in Islam, after praying for someone, some people like to blow the prayer on the person they are praying for (There was a scene in My Name is Khan with it). Srk did the same thing today at her funeral, and some idiots turned it into ¡°SRK spits on Lata ji¡¯s grave¡± Ridiculous! pic.twitter.com/iDx9cbesJu

Yadav tweeted the viral clip on Twitter on Sunday evening with a caption that said, "Did he spit?" The tweets against Shah Rukh Khan did nothing but peddle misinformation and communally charged information.
