SRK Honoured With The Global Icon Of Cinema Award In Sharjah; Wins Over Fans With Baazigar Lines
Shah Rukh Khan who is enjoying the buzz around his film Pathaan's teaser has now won the award of 'Global Icon of Cinema' at SIBF 2022.
Bollywood¡¯s King Khan who is garnering limelights for the teaser of his upcoming film Pathaan has another feather in his cap. Shah Rukh Khan was recently at the Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF) 2022 where he was honoured with the Global Icon of Cinema and Cultural Narrative award.
The event that was held at Sharjah¡¯s Expo Centre was attended by a large number of audiences and the actor¡¯s visuals from there are doing rounds on the internet.
Decked up all in black in a backcombed hairstyle, the nation¡¯s heartthrob received the award for the act of ¡®contribution to the cultural scene and reproductivity in the field of writing and creativity.¡¯ ¡°All of us, no matter where we live, what colour we are, what religion we follow or what songs we dance to¡ thrive in a culture of love, peace and compassion,¡± SRK said in his speech.

During his presence on stage, the interviewer also asked SRK about his work and life starting with a question about his late parents. On being asked what he thinks of the love that the audiences shower on him and the empire that he has built for himself, SRK gave a humble reply.
¡°I think my mother would say first, ¡®Tum bahut patle hogae ho, thoda sa weight put on karlo. Kaisa tumhara mooh hogaya hai andar-andar, tumhara kalle andar chale gae hain¡± he said as fans giggled at his response.
He added, ¡°But I think my father and my mother both would be very proud of I think my one achievement¡ if I can call it an achievement, I think it is something we have to do and something we live by¡ I think they will be proud of the way we have been able to bring up my three children. I think they will be very happy.¡±
On the work front, SRK is all set to return to the big screen after four years.
SRK who was last seen making cameos in films like Brahmastra, Laal Singh Chaddha and Rocketry will have exciting releases soon. Starting with the buzzed release of Pathaan next year, he¡¯ll entertain audiences with Jawan and Dunki next. SRK who was seen in a full-fledged role in 2018¡¯s Zero will also have a cameo in Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer Tiger 3 as Pathaan itself.
