The lavish star-studded gala that was hosted in honour of the royal couple was cut to perfection. Apart from the perfect red carpet, Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and Kate Middleton had Bollywood's King Khan, SRK welcoming them.
Shah Rukh Khan, who rocked the red carpet in a white tuxedo delivered a crisp, heartwarming and a ¡®desi¡¯ speech that was genuinely heart-felt.

¡°All of us present here have had a long-standing relationship with Great Britain and of course over the years it might have become closer.
My kids are studying there and I have been hearing a lot more about the Royal Highness and the work that they have been doing. I just got to hear and read an interesting stuff that his Royal Highness said and that is, ¡®It is quite ambitious wanting to help people¡¯ and I just want to add that we all in this room are here to extend our support to your ambitions and all the challenges you support.
Tonight in this room are present people from all walks of life. We have legendary sports persons; we have the great Sachin Tendulkar. We have fantastic businessmen and businesswomen over here.
We have Mr. Birla, the Punawalas here, and of course, we also have a set of talented artists from the entertainment world. The wonderful Madhuri Dixit, the greatest ever, Mr. Anil Kapoor and so many others. We are all here to extend our support to your ambition and all the charity you support, your highness.
I have also read her Royal Highness say, ¡®I don¡¯t know if I have a favourite colour.¡¯ I just want to assure you maam, Your Royal Highness even though your stay is extremely short here in India, you will go back finding more than one favourite colo¨²r from this country.
India is the most colourful and the warmest of the nations that you will ever visit in your lives. On behalf of all those present, I wish you a very warm welcome to India..¡±said Shah Rukh Khan.
Another highlight of the evening was SRK who mocked about the fact that he won¡¯t be allowed to dance at the event because British consulate had warned him of denying him a British visa for 10 years if he starts dancing.
