Sherlyn Chopra Files Police Complaint, Requests Sajid Khan's Removal From Bigg Boss 16
Sajid Khan is not even close to coming out from the pool of controversies. Recent development shows Sherlyn Chopra filing a complaint against him.
Controversies around filmmaker Sajid Khan don't seem to rest. The Hamshakals director is currently locked inside the Bigg Boss 16 house and is unaware of the emerging outrage against him outside the house. After multiple celebrities like Sona Mohapatra, Ali Fazal, Rani Chatterjee and Tanushree Datta called out his case, Sherlyn Chopra who had once accused him during 2018¡¯s #MeToo movement has filed a police complaint.
Sherlyn, who was herself a part of Bigg Boss in season 3, filed a complaint against Sajid at the Juhu police station in Mumbai.
The MTV Splitsvilla 6 host has taken this step to bring to notice the painful incident that took place in 2005 where she was allegedly molested. "We would not like to disclose the sections but we have filed it under outraging a woman¡¯s modesty. We have also mentioned how he has come on the Bigg Boss show to whitewash his image. Sherlyn Chopra has dispatched the complaint to the police also marking deputy commissioner as well as the National Women¡¯s Commission,¡± Sherlyn's spokesperson told ETimes.
Sherlyn¡¯s lawyer Sohail Sharif explained the developments involving notice to Union Minister and Colors TV and said,
¡°Today, Sherlyn has filed a police complaint against Sajid Khan under various sections and she has already dispatched it to the Juhu police station to register an FIR against Sajid under Section 354 for outraging the modesty of a woman. One of Sherlyn's conditions is that Sajid should be suspended from the Bigg Boss show. She has already written to Union Minister Anurag Thakur. And in a day or two, we¡¯re issuing a notice to Colors TV also to stop airing the episodes of Bigg Boss wherever Sajid is there.¡±
Recently Bigg Boss 9 contestant Mandana Karimi quit Bollywood after seeing Sajid enter Bigg Boss 16.
Mandana felt that where Sajid was being welcomed wholeheartedly, she had to fight with people to clear her dues. ¡°To be honest, I¡¯m not surprised to see him back in the spotlight. For people, life has become like I will put my head under the sand. If it is going to benefit me, and I can make money, then who cares? That shows why the MeToo movement in India and many other countries didn¡¯t really reach anywhere,¡± Karimi had told Hindustan Times.
This Iran-born actress had further added, ¡°It was just a few women, they came, they spoke and that was it. What is the action? Who is boycotting these people? Nothing is going to happen. Because we are talking about the bigger industry, which is a place where someone is someone¡¯s mom, boyfriend, girlfriend or husband. It¡¯s like you, you scratch my back, and I will scratch your back.¡±
