Apart from his fans, it looks like the internet, too, is slowly catching up on the Sidhu Moosewala phenomenon.
Late Punjabi singer¡¯s song "295" has made it to the Billboard Global 200 Chart.
Moose Wala, whose real name was Shubhdeep Singh, enjoyed a cult following in India with songs like 'So High', 'Same Beef', 'The Last Ride', and 'Just Listen'.
Weeks after his merciless murder in Punjab looks like the global diaspora has started exploring the singer¡¯s vast discography.
On the Billboard Global 200 Chart, Moosewala¡¯s "295" suddenly entered this week and is listed at the 154 spots as of Friday.
Moose Wala has become the first-ever Punjabi artist in history, to make it to the Billboard Global 200 Chart with his song 295.
The list is topped by American singer Kate Bush¡¯s "Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God)" and features tracks by the likes of Harry Styles, Bad Bunny, Lizzo, Camila Cabello, Ed Sheeran, and Justin Bieber.
"295" and its official video, which Moosewala released in July 2021, is also creating waves on YouTube and its dedicated music streaming platform, YouTube Music.
"295" has nearly 200 million views on YouTube, and the song is ranked third on the Top 100 Music Videos Global chart.
Moosewala¡¯s other track, "The Last Ride," saw an upward trend on the chart as it is now listed at the sixth spot. The video has amassed over 73 million views on YouTube. "295" is in the fourth position on the global chart, while he is second on the platform¡¯s Top Artist list.
Moosewala's death shocked the Indian film and music communities, with scores of Indian artists paying tribute to him on social media.

On Friday, Drake released his new album, Honestly, Nevermind. On Thursday, the Canadian rapper debuted as a radio program host. In his new show, Table for One, Drake sang some of his favorite songs, including two by Sidhu Moose Wala.
The rapper played 295 and G-Shit as a tribute to the late Punjabi singer-rapper. Drake also followed Sidhu on Instagram.
