Ace choreographer Siva Shankar lost the battle to Covid-19 and breathed his last o Sunday evening. Right before he passed away, the doctors at the Hyderabad hospital where he was admitted had reportedly declared him Covid-19 negative. He was 72.

Sonu Sood, who was constantly in touch with the family and had even contributed financially to help the national-award-winning choreographer with his treatment at the hospital, posted an emotional note after his tragic demise. Sood said that he tried his best to save him but God had different plans.
"Heartbroken to hear about the demise of Shiv Shankar masterji. Tried our best to save him but God had different plans. Will always miss you masterji.
May almighty give strength to the family to bear this loss.
Cinema will always miss u sir", he wrote.

Along with Siva, his elder son had also contracted the deadly virus and he was too admitted to the hospital. The mounting bills of their treatment were adding to the woes of the family, and so, many actors had stepped into extent financial help to his family.
As per the reports, Dhanush had donated Rs 5 lakh for his treatment and Chiranjeevi had donated Rs 3 lakh.
