'Aryan Khan In Touch With Those Part Of Global Drug Network': NCB During Bail Hearing
During today's bail hearing, Amit Desai, arguing for SRK's son Aryan Khan in the Mumbai drug bust case, said the incident began on 2 October for his client.
Aryan Khan, the son of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, is in touch with people who are part of an international drug network, claims the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB).
NCB told this to a special court which is hearing a plea for bail to the 23-year-old who was arrested from a cruise off Mumbai during a raid by the agency.
During today's bail hearing, Amit Desai, arguing for SRK's son Aryan Khan in the Mumbai drug bust case, said the incident began on 2 October for his client.
"He, having been invited for a party on the cruise ship, by a person named Prateek Gaba who hasn't been arrested. As we were in the process of checking in, we were accosted by NCB."
He further added, "When it comes to the secret information of use, sale, and consumption, that was not Aryan Khan."
Earlier, Special Judge V V Patil, hearing matters related to the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, said the court would hear the bail plea on Wednesday (13th October) after the NCB said there was ¡°no extreme urgency" to hear the application.
The defense, in their claim, said Aryan Khan was ¡°falsely implicated" and releasing him on bail would not stop the probe. Aryan Khan was arrested on October 3 after the NCB raided a Goa-bound cruise ship off the Mumbai coast.
Aryan, along with other accused, are currently in judicial custody and lodged at the Arthur Road prison in Mumbai. After his bail was rejected on 8th October, he approached the special court for bail.
