SS Rajamouli And Mahesh Babu's Film SSMB29 Will Be 'A James Bond Classic With Indian Roots'
Celebrated director SS Rajamouli has revealed that his film 'SSMB28' starring Mahesh Babu will be kind of a James Bond film.
Filmmaker SS Rajamouli, who recently attended the Toronto International Film Festival, 2022, to promote his blockbuster film RRR, has opened up about his upcoming film, SSMB29, which stars Mahesh Babu in the lead role.
During a media interaction at the event, the ace director from the South film industry revealed that 'SSMB29' will be kind of the classic Hollywood movies such as James Bond and Indiana Jones but with Indian elements.
Talking about his next project, SS Rajamouli said, "My next film with Mahesh Babu will be a globetrotting action adventure. It¡¯s going to be a kind of James Bond or Indiana Jones film with Indian roots," as reported by Pinkvilla.
Moreover, speaking of the much-awaited film, Rajamouli's father writer KV Vijayendra had previously informed the media outlet that he is yet to finish the script of the film.
Reports suggest that the Mahesh Babu film will be shot against a jungle backdrop and makers will start filming the project by the first half of 2023 due to the actor's current commitments with Trivikram Srinivas.
It has also been reported that there will be more VFX work in SSMB29 than in SS Rajamouli's RRR. The film is to be helmed by none other than Rajamouli himself, who is planning to make the project the largest ever in the history of Indian cinema.
Moreover, the budget of the film is said to be skyrocketing. 'RRR' helmer Rajamouli also mentioned that SSMB29 will be a 'globetrotting adventure' that will lure every moviegoer to the cinema halls.
Meanwhile, Mahesh Babu has expressed his excitement over working with the ace director. He said that it's his dream come true to have bagged a project with SS Rajamouli, who has given super blockbuster movies such 'Baahubali: The Beginning' and 'Baahubali 2: The Conclusion'. The actor also spoke of his character in the forthcoming movie and said that it will be extremely demanding physically.
"It¡¯s a dream come true for me to work with him. Doing one film with Rajamouli garu is like taking up 25 films at once. It¡¯s going to be physically demanding and I¡¯m really excited about it. It¡¯s going to be a pan-India film. I hope we break many barriers and take our work to audiences across the country," Mahesh Babu was quoted as saying by ETimes.
