On this precious milestone, Rajamouli shared a long note on Instagram and recalled how it's a big deal these days to see such a long run.
He wrote, ¡°Back in those days, a film running for 100days, 175 days etc was a big thing. The business structure changed over time...Gone are those fond memories¡ But the Japanese fans are making us relive the joy.. Love you Japan... Arigato Gozaimasu.¡± For the unversed, RRR starred Jr NTR and Ram Charan in leads.
Recently, RRR earned a nomination at the Oscars for Naatu Naatu. Vivek Agnihotri¡¯s The Kashmir Files, who had high hopes for it, lost the bet.
Reacting to the same, Anupam Kher in a recent interview told Brut India, "If now RRR has won the Critics Choice award, and RRR has won the best song at Golden Globes, it is the greatest feeling for Indian cinema. Why should (we) not we celebrate? So, there must be obviously some problem with The Kashmir Files.¡±
¡°I am the first person, who sort of tweeted that because I genuinely felt 'wow the song Naatu Naatu, the whole crowd is dancing on that'. This is the first time a Hindustani film or Telugu film or whatever, an Indian film, has entered the mainstream of cinema," Kher said.
