TV sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is all set to return after four years. Dayaben was portrayed by Disha Vakani until she became pregnant in September 2017 She reportedly took a maternity break and never returned to TV. Over the years, TV sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has entertained the Indian audience in a way that many shows couldn't. The sitcom has given some of the most funny characters that has managed to win hearts of viewers. One of such characters' is the iconic Dayaben, which was portrayed by Disha Vakani.
Now, if reports are to be believed, a new face will be replacing Disha Vakani as Dayaben in the popular TV show. It has been learnt that Dayaben is all set to return after four years.

Rakhi Vijan To Become The New 'Dayaben'
According to sources close to the development, actress Rakhi Vijan, who is popular for her iconic character Sweety Mathur from the 90s TV sitcom titled Hum Paanch will be the new Dayaben replacing Disha Vakani in the show. The actress is likely to play the role.
Recently, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah producer Asit Kumarr Modi had assured during an interaction with media that the famous character from the sitcom will return to the story. However, he could not confirm if Disha Vakani will be retaining her role as Dayaben.

"Rakhi Vijan has been approached for essaying the role of Dayaben. Rakhi is one among the most talented actresses. She has a fine comic timing," a source was quoted as saying by IANS.
The audience of the show, the first episode of which aired on July 28, 2008 are missing Disha Vakani and her signature dialogues. From 'Hey Maa Maataji' to 'Tapu Ke Papa', the actress nailed her comical dialogues that will forever remain in the memory of her fans.
