As Leo releases in theatres, Thalapathy Vijay's Highly-Anticipated Movie Earns a Negative Reaction. Here's what they're saying!
Thalapathy Vijay¡¯s much-awaited Tamil-lingual movie Leo has finally arrived in theatres and fans have flocked to theatres like it's a festival. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the action thriller also stars Sanjay Dutt, Arjun, Trisha, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mysskin, Mansoor Ali Khan and Priya Anand.
Leo Twitter Review
Soon after the movie was released, people took to Twitter and shared their reactions. Trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan tweeted, ¡°Tried to be a lion but ended up as a cat. Despite a promising premise and some commendable efforts from Joseph Vijay and the cast, the end result is a disappointment. Lokesh Kanagaraj's Leo fails to live up to the expectations or unnecessary hype.¡±
¡°Also, the film does not maintain a consistent level of engagement, leading to moments of boredom that detract from the overall viewing experience. The film is nowhere near Vikram or Kaithi, it is the weakest in Lokesh's career. A mediocre effort.¡±

One user wrote, "#Leo: THALAPATHY¡¯s career-best performance in terms of acting and action.¡± Another said, "#LeoReview:10/10 #Leo is such an intriguing brilliant film, which @actorvijay himself feels proud of doing it in his career. Don't dare to miss a single scene in this, all scenes are an important part of this movie. A trendsetter in edge-of-the-seat league movies #LeoFDFS."

Leo is a part of Lokesh Cinematic Universe
This is the third instalment of LCU after Vikram and Kaithi. Talking about the same Lokesh told Gallata Plus, ¡°Both art director Satheesh Kumar and editor Philomin Raj know what I want as we have been working together from the beginning. The art director has to match the lighting of the previous movies as it comes under the universe.¡±
Director Lokesh takes the blame for the controversy involving rough dialogues in Leo.
In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, the filmmaker said, "For that movie and that scene, that word and emotion was needed. We utter some words out of anger at times, this is that. And when we were about to shoot that scene, Thalapathy Vijay asked me 'Is this okay? or will it go wrong if I say this?' Then, I convinced him that it was the correct thing for that character to do, for that scene.¡±
¡°And I'll take all the blame. It was not mouthed by actor Thalapathy Vijay. It is said by Parthiban, his character in Leo.¡±
