Post the smashing success of Animal, Triptii Dimri actress has become an overnight star. Her fans are growing multifold. It's surprising how with just a small role in the film that had actors like Ranbir Kapoor, Bobby Deol and Rashmika Mandanna among others, she made her presence felt.

Beating actors like Suhana Khan who made her debut with The Archies this week and KGF star Yash, Dimri has become the most popular Indian celebrity for the week as per IMDb's list. Others on the list included Saurabh Sachdeva, the actor who played Abrar's brother, Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Khushi Kapoor, Kanan Gill, Saloni Batra, Rajkumar Hirani and Zoya Akhtar.

2. The National Crush

Interestingly, Rashmika Mandanna was hailed as the national crush for several years before the release of Animal. The actress who worked with Amitabh Bachchan in Goodbye even had a bigger role than Dimri in the movie. While everyone expected that her popularity will grow multifold in the North as well after the release of this pan-India movie, what actually happened is something that no one expected. Tripti Dimrii took over the title of national crush from her.

3. 430 percent growth in Instagram followers

Her Instagram followers have grown by 430 percent. The actress only had 700K followers on the photo-sharing app before the release of Sandeep Reddy Vanga movie, and now, she has 3.7 million followers on the platform.

How is Tripti Dimri feeling about her growing popularity?

"It does flatter me. Numbers are also a validation; it is a very visible form of love and I am grateful for that. But as an actor, I don¡¯t want to get caught up in that. I know that people are also calling me that and honestly it just feels very, very overwhelming," she told Indian Express in an interview.
