Trolling of Deepika Padukone at Kalki 2898 AD event is highly insensitive
Once again, while some people called her baby bump fake, several others questioned why she was wearing heels in pregnancy. For the unversed, Deepika wore form-fitting black bodycon dress paired with black heels. There were positive comments too - talking about her pregnancy glow - but many others were quite mean.
Before the event, Deepika shared some of the photos in which she could be seen laughing and holding her baby bump. She captioned the black and white photos as "Okay enough...Now I'm hungry".
Deepika Padukone links her pregnancy to Kalki 2898 AD role
When the host of the event Rana Daggubati joked if she was still in her character and asked, "You have been pushed into being a method actor." Deepika quipped, "I mean, clearly." For the uninitiated, Deepika essays the role of a pregnant woman named Sumathi in the sci-fi film.
When Rana said, "I can see you are still in character," Deepika responded with a smile on her face, "The movie went on for about 3 years, so I thought, why not? Just 3 months more."
Sharing her experience shooting for the film, she added, "It was an incredible experience, a great learning experience. It was a completely new world and I think we went through different phases, discovering what the film was about. It was an incredible experience, both at a personal and professional level."
