Heartbroken Over The Situation, Celebrities From Ukraine Are Ready To Fight Russian Forces
Celebrities from Ukraine are heartbroken over the situation of the country but at the same time they are ready to fight Russian forces.
From Bollywood to Hollywood, everyone has expressed their worry and concern amid the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
What's happening in the country is beyond shocking. A Ukrainian soldier blew himself to stop Russian troops. People are hiding in subways.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said, "I am here. We are not putting down arms. We will be defending our country, because our weapon is truth, and our truth is that this is our land, our country, our children, and we will defend all of this."
"That is it. That's all I wanted to tell you. Glory to Ukraine."

1. Boxer Wladimir Klitschko said "we will defend ourselves with all our might and fight for freedom and democracy."

Boxer Wladimir Klitschko wrote on Linkedin, "Now, the Russian president is using war rhetoric in the purest Bolshevik tradition and is rewriting history to justify his redivision of borders. He makes it clear that he wants to destroy the Ukrainian state and the sovereignty of its people. Words are followed by missiles and tanks. Destruction and death come upon us. That＊s it, blood will mix with tears. We must face reality and have the courage to draw the conclusions for our future and that of our children. This is a blatant violation of international law. And, if you listen carefully, this war is also talking about Europe."
"We will defend ourselves with all our might and fight for freedom and democracy. You can also act. Let not fear seize us; let＊s not remain frozen. Putin shoots at Ukrainian cities, but he aims at our hearts and, more importantly, at our minds. He wants to create doubt and confusion and thus inaction."
2. Quantum of Solace and Black Widow actress Olga Kurylenko who was born in Ukraine said, "Please stop the war."
3. Maksim Chmerkovskiy who is filming for a TV show in Ukraine, where he was born, has been sending updates from Kyiv.
"This is the reality...I＊m in Kyiv, contrary to what I probably should＊ve done a while ago, and not that no one saw this coming, but everybody was hoping that the finality of this situation would be averted, that there wasn＊t going to be these kind of aggressive measures. I want to go back home [to the U.S.]. And I realize that I have the way to 〞 I realize that I have a different passport, and my family is far away".
"I＊m uneasy, I＊m very scared ＃ but I do know, at the very least, I have a chance. I have a passport and a way out. A lot of people here do not, and it＊s f每king nonsense. I have [had] a f每king incredible pleasure to spend, on the ground, about six months now, and I＊ve fell back in love 〞 I never fell out of love, but I know now who these people are. I know who this country is, what it represents, what it stands for. And it＊s completely not what is being portrayed to the Russian people in order to justify this invasion," he said.
4. Resident Evil star Milla Jovovich who was born in Ukraine and grew up in Russia says her friends and family are in hiding.
She wrote, "I am heartbroken and dumbstruck trying to process the events of this week in my birthplace of Ukraine. My country and people being bombed. Friends and family in hiding. My blood and my roots come from both Russia and Ukraine. I am torn in two as I watch the horror unfolding, the country being destroyed, families being displaced, their whole life lying in charred fragments around them. I remember the war in my father＊s homeland of former Yugoslavia and the stories my family tells of the trauma and terror they experienced. War. Always war. Leaders who cannot bring peace. The never ending juggernaut of imperialism. And always, the people pay in bloodshed and tears."
5. Vikings star Katheryn Winnick who is a Ukrainian descent says "I stand by my Motherland, Ukraine".
6. Former boxer and Mayor of Kyiv, Vitali Klitschko said, "It＊s already a bloody war. I don＊t have another choice. I have to do that. I would fight."

7. Dancing With the Stars fame Val Chmerkovskiy who was born in Ukraine says his "parents fled this country for this exact reason".
"My parents fled this country for this exact reason. Not because it wasn＊t good to them, but because their kids would see war eventually. It＊s a cruel irony that 28 years later my brother is in a bombshelter in Kiev. If they hadn＊t left I would be on the front lines defending my home right now. And the most heartbreaking thing of all I would be either killing or dying at the hands of my fellow brothers. The Russian people don＊t want this!! We stood by each other＊s side. We loved and celebrated one another. I speak Russian yes but make no mistake about it, I am a proud Ukrainian and now the world will finally know the difference. Slava Ukraini all day every day! And to all my Russian friends this might be the best and only time to stand up to your dictator."

9. Oksana Baiul, who is a Ukrainian retired competitive figure skater, says the tragedy has broken their hearts.
