'Comedy Nights' Fame Upasana Singh Takes Legal Action Against Miss Universe Harnaaz Sandhu
A case has been filed against 22-year-old Miss Universe Harnaaz Sandhu by actress and comedian Upasana Singh. She claims that she had signed her movie, but backed out later.
Miss Universe Harnaaz Sandhu has already found herself in legal soup. A case has been filed against the 22-year-old by actress and comedian Upasana Singh, who would play the character of Bua on Comedy Nights with Kapil.

Also known for her role as a deaf-mute in the 1997 film Judaai, Upasana Singh has claimed that she signed an agreement with Harnaaz Sandhu for a film called Bai Ji Kuttange. Harnaaz, as per her, was signed as the lead artiste in the Punjabi film that she was also producing. However, she failed to honour her commitments.
Breach of Contract
Upasana said that she had put all her savings into the movie, and incurred a huge loss because of this. She has filed the case in Chandigarh court through advocates Karan Sachdeva and Irvan Neet Kaur. She wants to claim the damages caused due to Harnaaz's unprofessional behaviour.
As per her, Harnaaz was signed under the banner Santosh Entertainment Studio LLP during the early stages of her career. However, she backed out of the project that she was also supposed to produce along with Upasana. She has even stopped answering the calls/emails.

"Kaur wanted her first film as a producer in Punjabi because Punjabi is her mother tongue. But Harnaaz now thinks that we Punjabis are small people. She thinks she is meant for Bollywood and Hollywood projects," The Son Pari actress was quoted as saying by Tribune India.
Upasana Singh had quit The Kapil Sharma Show. While audiences enjoyed watching her play Twinkle on the comedy show, she said that she didn't enjoy playing the character, and hence, she chose to walk out.
"Money is important to an extent, But after a point, your satisfaction becomes more important. I only want to do roles that make me feel good. I always tell my producers to give me roles that not everyone can do. Like I was doing the Kapil show, it was at the top for 2-2.5 years. Then came a point where I felt that I don't have much to do in this. I was getting good money. I told Kapil that I don't have much to do here, give me something like the role I did at the beginning of the show as I enjoyed that very much. Isme maza nahi aa raha hai (It's not fun anymore)," she told Bollywood Hungama in an interview.
Upasana Singh has recently made her OTT debut with Disney+ Hotstar series Masoom.
