When Priyanka Chopra Revealed How She Tackled B-Town As A Debutante, Said Many Celebs Are Fake
Priyanka Chopra Jonas will be next seen in Russo Brothers¡¯ Amazon series Citadel and Farhan Akhtar's upcoming directorial 'Jee Le Zaraa.'
Former Miss World Priyanka Chopra, who made a mark with her stunning performances in films like Mary Kom, Fashion, Barfi, Agneepath and Dil Dhadakne Do among others in Bollywood, has opened up about the initial days of her struggle in the industry.
The actress, who is married to American singer-actor Nick Jonas, revealed that she faced ¡®complete rejection¡¯ from most directors in the Hindi film industry.

According to Indian Express, during a 2006 interview with Simi Garewal, Priyanka Chopra Jonas shared how despite being ¡®broken,¡¯ she managed to overcome each obstacle in the industry and emerge stronger than ever.
Speaking of how she tackled the industry, the actress revealed that it wasn't a piece of cake. Priyanka said that she made many mistakes and had to walk a tightrope every moment she was there.

"The first couple of years was really bad, because I did not trust anyone¡ªwhich film was right, which not to do. I had a phase where none of my films were starting and I was wondering what was I doing here, and I was close to going back to college. And then Andaaz happened,¡± the actress revealed during the interview.
For the unversed, Andaaz is a 2003 romantic drama, that featured Priyanka Chopra opposite superstar Akshay Kumar and former Miss Universe Lara Dutta in the lead roles.

Moreover, when asked about how ¡®strong¡¯ she was, Priyanka said that she came "close to being broken" but she grew from that.
"A phase of complete rejection from everyone, for a year and a half¡ it was an impressionable age as well, and I was 18, completely rejected and nobody wanted to work with me,¡± Priyanka Chopra aka PeeCee said and went on to add that many people in the industry were 'fake'.
The Bajirao Mastani actress said, ¡°Most of them are fake. There are intelligent people around, but so many people are so fake¡ that¡¯s something I can stand. I think even was, I was completely not what I am."
On the work front, Priyanka Chopra is all set to make a comeback in Bollywood with Farhan Akhtar's upcoming directorial 'Jee Le Zaraa' which also stars Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif in lead roles.
