Allu Arjun¡¯s Pushpa 2, one of the most eagerly-awaited films of the year, hit the screens today (December 5) amid much fanfare. The actioner created a great deal of buzz among fans with its action-packed trailer and foot-tapping songs. This is set to help it script history at the worldwide box office and take Telugu cinema to new heights.
A historic start is on the cards for Pushpa 2
Sukumar¡¯s Pushpa 2, which features Allu Arjun in the role of a fearless smuggler, is set to open to a phenomenal response at the box office. According to Mabobala Vijayabalan, a trade tracker, the film is expected to gross over Rs 250 crore on the opening day and create history at the box office.
¡°Pushpa 2¡¯s current trends suggest that it will make above ?250 crore on the first day from across the world. The advance booking was over Rs 100 crore for the film. It is likely to break RRR¡¯s record, which has the highest ever day 1 for any film in the history of Indian cinema," he told Indiatimes.
In case you did not know, RRR grossed nearly Rs 223 crore worldwide on the first day to emerge as the highest opener in the history of Indian cinema. The film was directed by SS Rajamouli and featured Jr NTR and Ram Charan as the parallel leads.

The film features Rashmika Mandanna as the leading lady and is the biggest film of her career. The cast includes Fahadh Faasil, Ajay, Ajay Ghosh, Sritej, and Jagapathi Babu. Sreeleela has a special appearance in the film. Devi Sri Prasad, who won a National Award for his work on the first part, is its music director. Pushpa 2 hit the screens on December 5.
