Game Changer box office collection day 1: Game Changer, which hit the screens on January 10, has opened to a good response at the domestic box office despite receiving mixed reviews. The film created a great deal of buzz among fans ahead of its release as it marks Ram CharanĄ¯s first collaboration with Shankar, the director of blockbusters such as Sivaji and 2.0. This seems to have worked in its favour.
Game Changer is off to a good start
Game Changer, ShankarĄ¯s first release after the underwhelming Indian 2, is off to a great start at the domestic box office. According to Sacnilk, a trade website, the political action drama netted Rs 51.25 crore on the first day. A large chunk of this came from the Telugu states. It also made around Rs 7 crore in Hindi.
The film benefitted from Ram CharanĄ¯s stardom and the curiosity created by its stylish trailer. The film is expected to witness good growth this weekend because of the mass hero's star power. It, however, remains to be seen whether it stays stable in the long run as the word-of-mouth is mixed.
