Gautham Vasudev Menon recently expressed displeasure with Suriya for rejecting Dhruva Natchathiram. His comments created a buzz and several netizens agreed with him and questioned the Kanguva actor¡¯s choices.
Dhruva Natchathiram is one of the biggest films of Gautham Vasudev Menon¡¯s career. The spy thriller, announced nearly nine years ago and yet to see the light of the day, has created a buzz among fans with its stylish posters. Gautham originally wanted Suriya to play the lead in it but the mass hero rejected his offer. Following this, Chiyaan Vikram came on board. In a recent interview, the filmmaker hit out at the Singam actor for turning down his offer.

Gautham Vasudev Menon is a popular name in Tamil cinema. He enjoys a strong fan following because of his relatable brand of storytelling. In a recent interview with Behindwoods, the filmmaker said that he is ¡®upset¡¯ with Suriya for rejecting Dhruva Natchathiram, his ambitious spy thriller. He further said that the actor ¡®should have trusted¡¯ him as they previously collaborated with him for Kaakha Kaakha and Vaaranam Aayiram.
¡±Suriya shouldn't have a second thought about doing Dhruva Natchathiram, because we made Khakha & Vaaranam Aayiram and so he could have trusted me. I tried to convince my best, but he didn't agree. I'm really upset that Suriya denied the film," he said.
His comments created a buzz on social media and several netizens took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to express their opinion on the matter. Most of them supported GVM and agreed with his statement.

Some of them also trolled Suriya for choosing Kanguva, which flopped at the box office, instead of Dhruva Natchathiram.
Ironically, he said yes to Kanguva!
