Makers of Aashram presented a sneak peek into the third season of the web series with a teaser yesterday, and the trailer was released today.
It is the return of Bobby Deol as the self-proclaimed godman Baba Nirala. The first two seasons have been uber successful and we really hope this one lives up to the expectations too.
It shows the 'infamous ashram' where Baba Nirala's actions are on a similar level to those of Sai Baba. Bobby is seen with people in his ashram in Baba's Chola for approx. 1 minute, 11-second teaser.
In his honor, people are also seen chanting the slogans ¡°Japnaam, japnaam¡±. The series portrays how Baba's devotion is felt throughout the country.

The creators are clear that Aashram is a work of fiction. It¡¯s a story that shares many similarities with real-life cases, though. The fictional 'Kashipur' is dominated by the all-powerful Baba Nirala who, through his influence on the lower strata of society, managed to set up an empire.
He has often stood for them and they consider him to be their Messiah! Pammi, a lower-caste girl, is drawn into his devotion as he comes to her aid. Doubts begin to circulate about Baba Nirala's claim to be the Messiah!
By the end of Season 1 of Aashram, we¡¯d seen the full spectrum of what goes on behind the scenes of Bobby Deol's ashram. It may seem pious on the surface, but underneath, it's full of temptation and vice.
In the second season of Aashram, the story continues, with many facets of the Baba's Aashram revealed, as well as a display of blind faith and politics. Drugs are being produced at a rapid pace, starting with 'prasad-ke-laddoos' laced with addictive substances.
Directed by Prakash Jha, the show stars Aaditi Pohankar, Darshan Kumaar, Chandan Roy Sanyal, Tushar Pandey, Anupriya Goenka, and more. The sets of the third season of Aashram were vandalized in Bhopal which was a challenging experience for the team. Thankfully, it wasn't as bad as it could have been. However, Prakash Jha was targeted by Bajrang Dal activists after they claimed that the show defamed Hinduism.
