Harry Potter turns 39 years old today and became the most popular characters in cinema. The first publication of JK Rowling¡¯s Harry Potter and The Sorcerer¡¯s Stone hit the stands in the US on this very date. The first book itself managed to cast a strong spell and the readers got hooked to it. It became a part of the pop-culture overnight. So much so, that it became like a ritual for fans to wait the entire night and stand in queues to score the latest book before everyone else. As if the books weren¡¯t enough, then came the movies and all hell broke loose. For every 90s kid, well for most of them, Harry Potter became an integral part of their lives.
It became so difficult to part ways with Harry Potter after seven books and eight movies that fans all across the globe appealed to author Rowling to spin it some more and present an additional plot to the already finished story. The remarkable woman did not disappoint and thus launched Harry Potter & The Cursed Child. On this memorable day, let¡¯s take a look at some of the nostalgic behind-the-scenes pictures from the making of this cult.
P.S - It¡¯ll amaze you how some of the really iconic scenes where shot in Croma and it was VFX that made it look jaw-droppingly good on the big screen.

#4 This one is definitely frame-worthy! Voldy with his loyal death eater Bellatrix Lestrange and Professor Dumbledore and Harry Potter share an amicable relationship in real life.

#5 No matter how lethal Lestrange looked in the series, she is very friendly IRL!

#8 Harry Potter and his Dumbledore army filming the scene inside the death chamber for Order Of The Phoenix. Yes, where all the glass spheres with many prophecies break when they are running towards the exit.

#9 Pitted against each other, Dumbledore sharing his words of wisdom with Voldy in between shots!
#10 Harry Potter aka Daniel Radcliffe sharing a light moment with his stunt double. Checkout the similar costumes!
#11 All the Potter fans hated Professor Umbridge, didn't we? This scene where Harry and Hermoine take her to make her meet Hagrid's half-brother Grawp was shot entirely with the stunt doubles.
#12 That moment when we realised that Lord Voldemort is quite handsome in real life *Facepalm*

#13 Childhood = Ruined! The books didn't slide inside the shelves on their own. Those green (chroma) hands did the deed.

#14 Luna Lovegood's special time with the Thestrals was a big lie! She bonded with just a head. Tsk Tsk!

#16 Another epic scene in the final movie where Harry saved his enemy Draco Malfoy in the room of requirement. It had a lot of VFX involved to make it look realistic
#17 This has to be the most heartbreaking scene in the entire series. Harry accompanies Dumbledore to the cave to find Salazar Slytherin's locket and destroy it as it's one of the horcruxes. Dumbledore's sacrifice of drinking the potion to get to the locket and their struggle to escape from that cave from the army of Inferi was spine-chilling.

#18 Not just handsome, Dumbledore is quite goofy in real life!

#19 This is a BTS from Battle Of Seven Potters - Hagrid had the real Harry Potter while other members of the Order had fake Harrys. This was done to safely transport Harry to the Burrow. It was during this scene when Hedwig (Harry's owl) died. *sniff*

#20 Personally, Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire is my most favourite movie. This scene is from the second task of the Triwizard tournament where the participant's valuable items (which turned out to be their friends/family) were taken away from them. This entire sequence was shot inside a massive tank of water.

Time to re-watch the movies for the zillionth time, right?
