Diddy's lawyer filed a third plea seeking his release
Earlier this week, Diddy¡¯s legal team filed a fresh plea seeking his pretrial release. Challenging the court's decision to reject the rapper's bail twice, they cited insufficient evidence for detention and alleged legal errors in the court¡¯s decision. Prosecutors, meanwhile, maintained that his release would warrant a danger as he could tamper with the witness that would obstruct the case. Diddy has offered to be under surveillance via a GPS monitor at all times.
Diddy was arrested last month and has pleaded not guilty. If convicted, he faces a minimum of 15 years in prison.
