Quentin Tarantino's Comment On Not Sharing A 'Penny' From His Earning With His Mother Backfires!
Tarantino's comments on not sharing his money with his mother have backfired. Reacting to his 'vindictive' comments, fans say it's rude of him to shame his mother on a public platform.
Award-winning Director Quentin Tarantino made a candid revelation about not sharing a single 'penny' from his earnings with his mother.
Tarantino revealed that a promise that he made to himself includes never give any money to his mother from his movie-making career.
This was after Tarantino's mother shouted at him for writing screenplays in school instead of studying.
He shared details of his earlier days when he was nagged with Brian Koppelman on his ¡°The Moment¡± podcast.
Tarantino recollected that even his school teachers viewed his screenwriting in class as a ¡°defiant act of rebellion¡±.
His teachers contacted his mother Connie McHugh, who scolded him for the same. Recalling a phase when he was scolded for writing 'screenplays' instead of school essays, he said,
¡°She was b****ing at me about that and then in the middle of her little tirade, she said, ¡®Oh, and by the way, this little ¡®writing career,¡¯ with the finger quotes and everything. This little ¡®writing career¡¯ that you¡¯re doing? That s*** is f***ing over¡±. She meant you just can¡¯t do that in class when you should be doing something else."
The director who made classics like Kill Bill and Django Unchained said that's when he made the decision.
¡°When she said that to me in that sarcastic way, I was in my head and I go, ¡®OK, lady, when I become a successful writer, you will never see a penny from my success. There will be no house for you. There¡¯s no vacation for you, no Elvis Cadillac for mommy. You get nothing. Because you said that.¡±¡±
When he was further asked if he stuck to his promise of 'not sharing a penny' with his mother, he said,
¡°Yeah. Yeah. I helped her out with a jam with the IRS. But no house. No Cadillac, no house. There are consequences for your words as you deal with your children. Remember there are consequences for your sarcastic tone about what¡¯s meaningful to them.¡±
Fans are not very happy with his comments. People are calling out his 'vindictive' thoughts for his mother. Here are some of the reactions that prove how his comment hasn't gone down too well with people, including his own fans.
I wonder if Tarantino sends him mom a card on Mother's Day. #QuentinTarantino pic.twitter.com/hRzAsXDpQn

Tarantino doesn't support his 75 yr old mother because she mocked his writing skills as a youngster obviously he doent know about parental psychology...her saying what she did pushed him harder to reach the goals he has ...I like his movies but I don't like him

Holy Reddit. You only get one mother in life, even if she's a demon from Hell you shouldn't totally abandon her, let alone if she only thought your writing was stupid. She's right, anyway. Tarantino is mediocre. Relies on shock value. https://t.co/iq07ZzB6W0 pic.twitter.com/06V5cF8WJx

Quentin Tarantino vowed never to give money to his mom and stuck to that : SAD. Your mother is obviously an ill woman I know I had one, but I forgave my ToXic mother. Quentin it's about who we are, not who they were. You don't want your children to see you as that

Opposite of a W - a huge L. Tarantino shows that he is a vengeful bitter man obsessed with a long ago slight from his mother.

No forgiveness, no magnanimity. Truly pathetic! https://t.co/mF91PABQAF
There are definitely situations where the healthiest thing to do is to cut someone out of our lives and you know your situation better than I do. Tarantino, however, is a very famous person using his platform to humiliate his mother over something she said when he was 12.

I cannot imagine what Quentin Tarantino is going to do when his mother dies and his family asks him to pay for the funeral services.

Hi Quentin Tarantino, it's not that you have too learn to forgive your mother it's in the lessen learned and I bet if you asked your mother if she is proud of her son. She would and you would forgive each other. And heal the hurt inside. Forgive each other and make

Quentin Tarantino should be thankful for his mother: if she wasn¡¯t a bitch to him, he wouldn¡¯t be Quentin Tarantino.

Tarantino is currently promoting the novel ¡°Once Upon a Time in Hollywood¡± based on his movie of the same name.
He made headlines a few weeks back when he shared that he plans on retiring after making his 10th movie. The director is also working on his second book, a nonfiction work titled ¡°Cinema Speculation¡±, which is ¡°a deep dive into the movies of the 1970s, a rich mix of essays, reviews, personal writing, and tantalizing ¡®what ifs.¡¯¡±
