Tickets For Avatar: The Way of Water Sold Out At Rs 2500, Eyes $525M Box Office Debut Globally
James Cameron's much-awaited sequel to the 2009 release Avatar is due in theatres this weekend. Avatar 2 is one of the most-anticipated Hollywood movies starring Sam Worthington as Jake Sully, and Zoe Salda?a as Neytiri.
The upcoming sci-fi-action movie titled Avatar: The Way of Life will focus on the story of the Sully family - Jake, Neytiri, and their children). The film will showcase how Jake and his wife manage to tackle the dangers to keep their family safe and fight battles to stay alive amid the tragedies.
The movie is slated to hit theatres on December 16, 2022. Now, if reports are to be believed, the price of Avatar: The Way of Water tickets is a whopping Rs 2500 in Delhi.
And interestingly, the weekend shows for the James Cameron directorial are already sold out at the highly expensive Delhi cinema halls.
Times Now has reported that an IMAX 3D ticket of the film starring Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana at a PVR in Delhi for the 11:30 pm show is Rs 2500 while prices for tickets in other cinema halls in Delhi NCR region are between Rs 700 to Rs 1600.
Reportedly, the ticket prices for James Cameron's visual marvel are between Rs 500 to Rs 1000 in Mumbai while those who wish to watch at PVR ICON: Phoenix Palladium, Lower Parel Mumbai will have to shell out Rs 1700 for the night show this weekend.
Moreover, reports suggest that the tickets are selling out at a lightning speed.
In Kolkata, the only IMAX 3D theatre that is set to screen the movie for the audience is INOX: South City.
The ticket for Avatar 2 has been priced at Rs 650 and Rs 950 for the evening show in the posh cinema hall while the night show comes strangely at a lower price, which is Rs 920.

Moreover, Avatar: The Way of Water is expected to open at a whopping $350 million overseas, plus another $100 million will be coming from the China box office alone. This could happen as 80% of China's theaters are reopening which will have a strong impact on the film's box office numbers at the global level.
