John Abraham has several action-packed Bollywood films to his credit and the actor is known for performing his own stunts. However, it is not an easy road and has many challenges along the way.
In an interview with ETimes, John Abraham revealed how he once came close to losing one of his legs after getting heavily injured on the sets of Force 2.
Recalling his Force 2 days and how some stunts can be 'deadly', John Abraham said, "I remember during ¡®Force 2¡¯ I smashed my knee and I had to get three surgeries. I had gangrene in my right leg and the doctors wanted to amputate my leg. I said, ¡®No, you can't do that¡¯. But thanks to my surgeon in Bombay, Dr Rajesh Maniar; he saved my knee.¡±
He further added that it has been 7 years since the fatal incident and today he is walking, squatting, and is more flexible and faster than he was back then.
Talking about his love for action films, John said, "I love doing action. Of course, I take a break and I do something that's different, but I love coming back to action.¡±
He added, ¡°You need to be careful. You can't have a false sense of bravado to prove to five people on a set that you can jump from here to there. At times you get hurt and then you become a little more cognizant about the dangers.¡±
John Abraham's latest action flick, Attack, released in theatres on Friday. The film has garnered positive reviews and also stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Rakul Preet Singh in pivotal roles.
