Linked to THE BOYZ's Ju Haknyeon, former Japanese adult star Asuka Kirara responds to prostitution claims
Unverified claims that Ju Haknyeon had paid Asuka Kirara for sex started to circulate across social media and entertainment forums, drawing attention - particularly since prostitution is illegal in South Korea.

The year 2025 has seen several controversies in the K-pop industry, but one that has drawn significant attention involves THE BOYZ's Ju Haknyeon. What began as quiet speculation online has since developed into wider allegations suggesting that the idol may have engaged in paid sex with former Japanese adult film star Asuka Kirara during a trip to Japan.
The situation escalated after reports surfaced that Japanese tabloid Shūkan Bunshun had acquired photos from a private gathering where both Haknyeon and Kirara were present. Although the article has yet to be published, the mere mention of the images triggered waves of online discussion.
Asuka Kirara responds to prostitution claims
Unverified claims that Ju Haknyeon had paid Kirara for sex started to circulate across social media and entertainment forums, drawing international attention - particularly since prostitution is illegal in South Korea.
Seeing all the hate she is receiving, Asuka Kirara addressed the situation on June 20, 2025. The former AV actress took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to respond to the claims and clarify her stance.
"There are a lot of speculations going around,” she wrote. "But the Shūkan Bunshun article hasn't come out yet. Please don't spread false information. I have never once in my life engaged in paid sex acts (prostitution) in private. Of course, this time too."

She further explained that the photo in question had reportedly been sold to Bunshun by a woman who attended the event. "A woman who was there for the first time seemed to like Haknyeon, so she had her photo taken and sold it to Bunshun," she claimed.
According to Kirara, the narrative being formed is based on a photo taken out of context and misrepresented. She hoped everyone would not to jump to conclusions and to refrain from spreading misinformation.
Ju Haknyeon takes legal action
Meanwhile, in South Korea, Ju Haknyeon has taken steps to defend himself and filed a lawsuit against the reporter who first accused him of paying for sex with Kirara. The legal move signals that he is treating the matter seriously.
As the situation continues to develop and now with both sides having responded, many await further clarification as the controversy remains a topic of intense speculation and discussion in both Korean and Japanese entertainment circles.
