SEVENTEEN's Wonwoo announces military enlistment date; PLEDIS' announcement leaves CARATs in shambles
Wonwoo of K-pop boy band SEVENTEEN will enlist in the South Korean military next month, his agency PLEDIS Entertainment announced on Wednesday. The announcement has left SEVENTEEN's fandom CARAT heartbroken.

K-pop boy group SEVENTEEN member Wonwoo is set to begin his mandatory military service on April 3, as announced by his agency PLEDIS Entertainment on March 4. This makes him the second member of the group to enlist, following fellow member Jeonghan, who is currently serving as a social service agent.
Wonwoo will not be participating in upcoming group activities, including the 2025 Tecate Pa'l Norte music festival and Japan fan meetings. However, the rapper will still make appearances through pre-recorded content and at the CARATLAND event from March 20 to 21, the agency shared.
Check out PLEDIS Entertainment's complete statement below:
Hello.
This is Pledis Entertainment. SEVENTEEN¡¯s Wonwoo will be enlisting on April 3. As such, he will not be able to participate in any activities forthcoming, including April¡¯s 2025 Tecate Pa¡¯l Norte music festival as well as the Japan fan meetings.
Just as we have previously announced, he will be participating in CARATLAND from March 20 to 21, and he will be able to meet CARATs through various pre-filmed contents.
There will be no official event on his enlistment date, and please refrain from visiting his workplace of alternative service. Please express your love for him via Weverse.
We ask for CARATs to continue to love and support him so Wonwoo can carry out his duties diligently and return healthily. The company will also continue to work hard to support him.
Thank you.
