Max box office prediction day 1: Max, starring Kiccha Sudeep, hit the screens today (December 25) amid much fanfare. The actioner created a fair deal of buzz in the industry ahead of its release with its gripping trailer and stylish posters. The fact that it features Sudeep in a new avatar too has worked in its favour. These factors are expected to help Max open to a good response at the domestic box office.
Kiccha Sudeep¡¯s Max set to open on a good note
Kiccha Sudeep, one of Kannada cinema¡¯s biggest names, is in the limelight because of his latest film Max. The movie hit the screens today on the occasion of Christmas. According to Manobala Vijayabalan, a trade tracker, Max is expected to collect between Rs 7 crore and Rs 10 crore in India,
¡°For Max, we are looking at an opening of between Rs 7 crore and Rs 10 crore domestically,¡± he told Indiatimes
Max is expected to face competition from Upendra¡¯s UI, which opened in theatres on December 20, in Karnataka. Similarly, Pushpa 2 is likely to affect its performance in the Telugu states.
About Max
Max is an action thriller, directed by Vijay Karthikeyaa. It centres on the events that unfold when the protagonist, a police officer, tries to deal with an unexpected situation using brute force. It features Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Samyuktha Hornad, Sunil, Redin Kingsley, and Sukrutha Wagle in key roles. The film is produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu, who is best known to the pan-India audience for backing the Rajinikanth-led Kabali. B. Ajaneesh Loknath is Max's music director.
This is Sudeep¡¯s first release after Kabzaa, which featured him in a cameo. The Upendra-led actioner hit the screens in 2023 and ended up being a flop.
