From Akshay Kumar-Nadiadwala To Salman-Bhansali, 10 Actor-Director Duos Who Had A Major Fallout

Rifts and fallouts in Bollywood are quite an intriguing subject. There are times that it is hidden as a cold war and sometimes it comes out in public like wildfire. Here¡¯s such a list of actor-filmmaker duos who made it quite obvious that there¡¯s a tea on the rift between them:-

1. Akshay Kumar and Firoz Nadiadwala

Actor Akshay Kumar¡¯s some of the hit films like Awara Paagal Deewana, Welcome and Hera Pheri were produced by Firoz Nadiadwala. In a recent development with the third part of the Hera Pheri franchise, Firoz was said to be keen on roping Akshay back. However, things couldn¡¯t work out as Akshay allegedly charged a hefty amount for the same.

When things didn¡¯t have any scope, Akshay went on to publicly claim that he backed out of the film because he didn¡¯t like the script and that made Firoz upset and furious. It is now reported that Firoz doesn¡¯t want to turn heads for Akshay¡¯s attitude and will make Welcome 3 and Awara Paagal Deewana 2 without him.

2. Kartik Aaryan and Karan Johar

Karan Johar who was quite cordial with actor Kartik Aaryan allegedly suffered a lot because the actor wasted his time and resources. Kartik was roped in for Dostana 2 and shot vigorously for quite a major time. When Karan had already spent Rs. 20 crores on the film, Kartik decided to back out making the entire project shelf.

Two of the reasons that came to light were one that he was extremely unprofessional and another that he took that decision after an alleged split with the film¡¯s co-actor Janhvi Kapoor who he dated briefly.

3. Disha Patani and Ekta Kapoor

Ekta Kapoor brewed one of her dream projects that were based on her personal life. The film was named KTina and had Disha Patani in the lead role. Even after shooting some parts amidst the duo's unsettling differences, Disha didn¡¯t return post-pandemic. The schedules were being made and scrapped after the pandemic but Ekta just got annoyed as Disha couldn't give her dates for the film.

Reportedly, Disha¡¯s lack of interest in KTina made the fallout happen and now the makers are in talks with Shraddha Kapoor and Tara Sutaria for the same. For the unversed, Disha was also shown doors from the film Saaho after the actress demanded remuneration beyond the budget of the film.

4. Salman Khan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali

Salman and SLB worked together in Khamoshi and Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. The duo was all set to collaborate again on Insha-Allah which also starred Alia Bhatt. Even after being one of the most anticipated films of SLB, the film fell apart after Slaman backed out owing to creative differences.

Things since then didn¡¯t remain the same between the duo but SLB lately said that he has the utmost regard for Salman Khan and they can definitely work in the future.

5. Aditya Roy Kapur and Mohit Suri

Aditya and Mohit did two successful films together, Aashiqui 2 and Malang. It was said that Mohit Suri¡¯s priority for the lead cast in Ek Villain Returns was Aditya Roy Kapur but things fell apart due to creative differences. The mess led to a dent in the duo's friendship. Aditya will be next seen in Gumrah.

6. Akshay Kumar and Neeraj Pandey

Akshay and Neeraj worked together in Baby and Special 26. But it was 2016 when the duo collaborated on a project named Crack and it was shelved soon after. There were rumours of rifts between them which Neeraj had refuted but later in years went on to quote in the telegraph that, ¡®I don¡¯t work with unprofessional actors.¡¯

7. Kareena Kapoor Khan and Karan Johar

Always found hanging together, these best friends had a major fallout during the rigorous days of Karan as a director. The rift was out in the open when Karan wrote about it in his book, ¡®The Unsuitable Boy¡¯. It was the time of Kal Ho Na Ho casting when Kareena had asked for too many fees that for KJo was unacceptable. Kareena had then cut off all ties with Karan for a longer time than expected.

8. Arbaaz Khan and Abhinav Singh Kashyap

Abhinav who directed Salman Khan¡¯s Dabangg went on to allege that Arbaaz Khan had bullied him and tried to destroy his career. Through a Facebook post, Abhinav hurled multiple accusations at Arbaz after which Arbaz filed a legal complaint against the director. Abhinav¡¯s brother and filmmaker Anurag Kashyap on this matter had said that he refrains from getting involved in Abhinav¡¯s business.

9. Sunny Deol and Suneel Darshan

Filmmaker Suneel Darshan made it public how things went worse when he was involved with actor Sunny Deol. Suneel alleged that Sunny took money from him and didn¡¯t return it. Although the actor promised to do a film in compensation for it, he fooled Suneel by constantly postponing the dates and ending up not doing the film. 10. Ajay Devgn and Ashwini Dhir

Ajay and Ashwini who worked together in U Me Aur Hum and Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge parted ways soon after completing 2012¡¯s Son of Sardar. The news that came in 2013 later faded and hinted at them sorting things out and planning a film in 2017 which hasn¡¯t come out in the news yet. Hoax, maybe!
