Atlee Confirms Movie With Shah Rukh Khan & Thalapathy Vijay; Here Are His Upcoming Projects

After the grand success of Jawan, fans are eagerly waiting for Atlee's upcoming project. When the film released, some fans were upset about Thalapathy Vijay's cameo being missing in the film. While the makers hadn't confirmed this, there were strong rumours Vijay--who has given numerous blockbuster movies with the ace director--will appear in the film. SRK, Vijay and Atlee's photos added fuel to the rumours. Now, it seems that the Mersal filmmaker had other plans.

Now the filmmaker has confirmed he will bring SRK and Vijay together in another movie. In fact, he is already working on the script.

"I called Vijay Anna and invited him to the party, and he said he would make it for sure. So, when he came, Shah Rukh sir and Anna discussed between themselves and called me. Shah Rukh sir told me if I ever have plans of directing a dual hero film, they both are ready for it. Vijay Anna also said, ¡®Ama pa¡¯. So, I am working on it. It could be my next film. I am working very hard to come up with a script for it. Let¡¯s see," he was quoted as saying.

Meanwhile, after the grand success of Jawan, Atlee has been offered to work on a Hollywood movie. Without naming the film, he revealed the same himself during an interview.

Apart from this movie with Khan and Vijay, Atlee is reportedly working on a project with Allu Arjun. It is said that the filmmaker has shared a script with the Pusha 2 actor and it's too early to confirm anything. "Atlee confirms conversations with Allu Arjun, opens up on aiming 'something bigger than Jawan' Fresh from the success of Jawan, Atlee Kumar is on a 4-month-long break to spend time with his son while the chatter around what he will be taking up next is growing louder. The filmmaker admitted that he is in talks with Pushpa star Allu Arjun but the two are yet to lock a script," Atlee had told Webloid.

Apart from that, he is also working on a sequel to Jawan. "Every film of mine has an open end but to date, I have never thought of doing a sequel to any of my films. For Jawan, if anything strong comes to me, I will make a part two. I have kept an open end and I can come up with a sequel now or later. But definitely will come up with a sequel to Jawan one day," he said.

VD 18 with Varun Dhawan

Atlee is producing this film that will star Varun Dhawan, Wamiqa Gabbi, Sanya Malhotra, Keerthy Suresh and Sheeba Chaddha among others. This film about "DCP who transforms and travels to different place in order to safeguard his family" will likely be released in 2024. "Regarding Varun¡¯s film, it is going to be a mass film. Can expect the same calibration of mass to the theatre," said Atlee about VD 18.
