How did he bag Panchayat?
He was offered Panchayat, after director Deepak Kumar Mishra and writer Chandan Kumar saw his work in Gangs of Wasseypur. "I wasn't sure about taking it up because I was not sure whether I could pull off the role. But they convinced me. Plus, the show was well written. It is very tough to write comedy, so I agreed", he told Rediff.
