Faisal Malik, known as Prahlad from Panchayat 3, struggled for two decades before gaining recognition. From sleeping on railway stations to becoming the most loved actor on Amazon Prime Video series, here's his inspiring journey.
Faisal Malik aka Prahlad Pandey from Panchayat season 3 came to the city of dreams Mumbai at the age of 22 to become an actor, thinking it would be a shortcut to earn money. However, the actor struggled for 20 years. After two decades, the actor is finally getting his due with the Amazon Prime Show. So much so, that people are calling him the star of new season.
Faisal Malik aka Prahlad Pandey lived on the streets, slept on railways stations for Rs 10
Taking about his struggle days, Malik said that the first year was the toughest. His family would send him money, but after six months he felt embarassed to ask for money. So he instead lived on the streets and slept on the stations. "It was not easy. I lived on the streets, paid Rs 10 a night just to sleep in stations... But I don't want to talk about my struggle. These experiences were necessary for my journey," he told Rediff in an interview.

He started working with Sahara Channel and learnt editing side by side. After six months, he was editing promos. From now on, he earned a stable income. From an editor to assistant director, took up all kinds of jobs.
He also worked on Fame Gurukul, the singling reality show with which Arijit Singh started his journey

He also worked on singing reality TV show Fame Gurukul, judged by Javed Akhtar, Krishnakumar Kunnath and Shankar Mahadevan. One of the particopants of the show was Arijit Singh who unfortunately didn't win the show. Apart from, he also worked on international shows like The Amazing Race, World's Toughest Trucker and Ice Road Truckers: Deadliest Roads.

He has established a production company called Hamari Film Company, under which he has produced a lot of TV shows as well as films including Kangana Ranaut's Revolver Rani, Main Aur Charles, and Saat Uchcheke among others.
