Women Conned By 'Tinder Swindler' Are Fighting Back While Simon Leviev Gets Banned By Tinder!
) Leviev was ordered to pay his victims in a 2020 Israeli court order -just one of the very 'small' punishments he had to bear for committing massive levels of fraud and emotionally stripping women off their dignity and finances.
Throwing light on the twisted world of modern dating, Netflix's latest documentary, Tinder Swindler, is a masterclass on 'How not to date.
The documentary teaches you how red flags are indeed red flags, and one needs to take off rose-tinted glasses to see the reality.
Are men worth the trouble they bring along? Well, certainly not in the case of Tinder Swindler.
Posing as the son of an Israeli diamond magnate, Leviev uses the dating app Tinder. He manipulated women by showcasing his authenticity and giving them a grand tour of his wealth and portraying him as the ¡°prince of diamonds.¡±
After establishing a stable relationship with his prey, he compels and manipulates them financially to rescue him from his mortal enemies.
In an attempt to save their boyfriend (friend for some), women take hefty loans from multiple banks to rescue him.
This true-crime Netflix documentary details how Simon Leviev tricked women he met on Tinder into giving him money.
The documentary showcases three women, including Cecilie Fjellhoy, Pernilla Sjoholm, and Ayleen Charlotte - who chose to take matters into their own hands.
These women, who are knee-dipped in loans and mortgages, have started a fundraising effort that's already collected about 56,000 pounds ($75,000).
That's more than the 150,000 shekels ($47,000) Leviev was ordered to pay his victims in a 2020 Israeli court order -just one of the very 'small' punishments he had to bear for committing massive levels of fraud and emotionally stripping women off their dignity and finances.
The scam, which is estimated to have stolen $10 million from victims, catapulted and gained mainstream attention after the Netflix documentary.

Maybe it's because I just watched #tinderswindler but #InventingAnna just reminded me that the lives of rich people are crazy. How everyone in these circles thought it was normal and got conned is bonkers. Most of us live in the real world where such extravagance is abnormal.

Fjellhoy, Sjoholm, and Charlotte started the GoFundMe because "many people reached out to us asking if we had one, and it hadn't occurred to us to make one before this," the women wrote in the description for the money-raising effort.
"The sheer love is more than we ever expected, and we appreciate you all so much." Their cumulative goal is to raise 600,000 pounds. Sjoholm told GQ that Leviev stole between 50,000 and 60,000 pounds from her, and she's now bankrupt and living with her mother. Fjellhoy was left with more than 200,000 pounds in debt.
While women are fighting back to gain control of their turbulent life, thanks to Shimon, Leviev - who previously went by Shimon Hayut - has now been blocked from Tinder.
He has also been banned from dating apps like Match.com and OkCupid. Another report claims that Instagram has blocked his profile and restricted him from making a new one, but he hasn't stopped trying!
The conman is still on the loose, living his best life with his girlfriend on a private yacht.
