Music composer Devi Sri Prasad has acknowledged all rumours of a rift between him and the producers of Pushpa 2. With the movie¡¯s release around the corner, here¡¯s everything you need about this infamous fallout.

What is the reason behind the fallout between Pushpa 2 producers and DSP?

Pushpa 2 has been backed by Mythri Movie Makers and it¡¯s their next big passion project. The makers want the film to break all records and emerge as the next big global hit. While everything else was on track, the music of this actioner was repeatedly being delayed from Devi Sri Prasad¡¯s side for reasons best known to them. This is what caused a crack in their longstanding association considering DSP was the musical brain behind the chartbuster Pushpa 1.

The producers didn¡¯t spare any time and roped in composers Thaman, Ajaneesh Lokanath and Sam CS to work on the background score while DSP took all his time to work on the songs. The divide between them was further escalated after reports surfaced that Mythri Movie Makers are planning to replace DSP in their upcoming film Good Bad Ugly.

What did DSP say about the rift between him and Pushpa 2 producers?

While speaking at the Kissik song launch event, the composer hurled a war of words pretty directly against Pushpa 2 producers - Naveen Yerneni, Mohan Cherukuri and Ravi Shankar. When he was speaking in Tamil, many of his fans requested him to speak in Telugu to which he said that their demands were right and they should get what they asked for.

¡°If you don't ask, they won't give - whether it's the payment from producers or the credit on screen,¡± DSP said with a laugh hinting at a remuneration tiff between them. He then directly named Ravi and alleged that the producer blamed him for not delivering the song or the background score on time.

Prasad said that people make complaints to only those who they love while taking a dig, ¡°I think you have more complaints about me than love. As soon as I arrived on stage (after being made to wait backstage by the creative team for 25 minutes), you said, ¡®Wrong timing, sir. You're late¡¯. What can I do?¡±.
