Ram Charan and Shankar¡¯s Game Changer, which hit the screens on January 10, was expected to do well in Tamil Nadu because the I helmer is a force to reckon with in the market. Moreover, the ¡®Mega Power Star¡¯ too enjoys a strong fan following in the state because of his work in SS Rajamouli¡¯s period action drama RRR. Despite this, the action drama has failed to live up to expectations at the Tamil Nadu box office.

Kadhalikka Neramillai and the Arun Vijay-led Vanangaan too were released during the Pongal season.
