It also received rave reviews. The film continued its run on Thursday, January 16, and raked in a respectable amount. Rekhachithram is a thriller, directed by Jofin T Chacko of The Priest fame.

Asif Ali¡¯s Rekhachithram has exceeded expectations to emerge as a success. The film remained fairly strong at the box office despite facing competition from the Pongal/Sankranti releases. According to Sacnilk, a trade website, Rekhachithram raked in Rs 1 crore (nett) on its second Thursday. This figure is lower than the Rs 1.25 crore it made on January 15.

Day 2: Rs 2.2 crore

Day 3: Rs 3.3 crore

Day 4: Rs 3.75 crore

Day 5: Rs 1.95 crore

Day 8: Rs 1 crore

The total collection stands at nearly Rs 17 crore.

Rekhachithram received favourable reviews with critics lauding the performances and the screenplay. This helped it connect with Asif Ali¡¯s fans. It also benefitted from the underwhelming response to Ram Charan¡¯s Game Changer, which earned ¡®zero share¡¯ in Kerala on the first day.
