Sanam Teri Kasam 2 Update: After making an emotional return with its re-release, this Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane is winning over hearts once again and justifying its place as a cult classic. While the 2016 romantic drama didn't initially light up the box office, its growing fan base has prompted the filmmakers to bring it back to the big screen. Now, anticipation is building for the upcoming sequel and directors Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru have an interesting update about it.
Sanam Teri Kasam 2 script is locked
While speaking to India Forum, Vinay Sapru revealed that the idea for a sequel was always part of the original vision. "Toh humare paas second part ready hai, aur we are absolutely sure ke Inder ki kahani kahan ja rahi hai iske baad," he said adding, "That's why, in the end, when Inder stands near the tree and Suru's voice echoes, it's a subtle hint for what's to come in part 2."
When is Sanam Teri Kasam 2 releasing?
The duo also confirmed that everything is on track for the sequel and Sanam Teri Kasam will hit theatres in February 2026. "Toh ab toh itna ho gaya hai ki part two agle Valentine pe toh laana hi padhega, because is Valentine pe everyone saw part 1. In fact, even the songs are nearly complete," confirmed Radhika and Vinay saying the makers are ready to deliver exactly what the audience wants.
In other news, the film's lead Harshvardhan Rane has taken to his social media handles and announced that he will soon begin an 11-day (water only) fast below the producer's office requesting him to gear the sequel soon. While there's no confirmation on Mawra's return, the fact that this sequel is in the making has made fans go crazy. In the meantime, head to theatres and watch Sanam Teri Kasam.
