Folk singer Sharda Sinha critical, battling for her life in Delhi AIIMS weeks after her husband's demise
Legendary singer Sharda Sinha has been fighting for her life in AIIMS Delhi for a couple of days now, her son Anshuman confirmed. This news comes weeks after Bihar Kokila¡¯s husband Braj Kishore Sinha passed away.
Sharda Sinha is synonymous with Chhath Puja songs. If you ever get a chance to visit Bihar during this festival, which is around the corner, you will see every lane playing religious songs sung by the one and only Bihar Kokila. However, this year isn¡¯t a good one for all the Sharda Sinha fans as the singer struggles for her life in Delhi¡¯s AIIMS.
For a couple of days now, the Hum Aapke Hain Kaun singer has been admitted to ICU following complications with Multiple myeloma and has been kept on oxygen support. There were reports that she was on ventilator support which his son has now denied in a video shared on Instagram. Anshuman Sinha stood in front of the hospital building and issued a clarification.
He was heard saying in Hindi, ¡°She is admitted to ICU. Wrong news is coming from some places and I have come forward to refute it. Sharda Ji is currently in ICU and is fighting her condition. It is being said on some news channels that he has been put on a ventilator and they are also certifying that this news has been given by the Director of AIIMS. This is absolutely wrong. Yes, the situation is certainly serious.¡±
Sharda Sinha was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in 2017 which is a serious cancer that affects the blood cells and bone marrow. The singer lost her husband Braj Kishore Sinha, 80, on September 22 this year followed by a brain haemorrhage. Anshuman in his video further broke down saying that Kishore¡¯s death broke her morale and escalated her ongoing suffering.
Social media is filled with users praying for the speedy recovery of the Padma Shri awardee and hopes she gets better soon.
