Akhil Akkineni turns 31: Akhil Akkineni, who turns 31 today (April 8), is one of the most popular names in the Telugu film industry. The young star enjoys a strong fan following because of his dashing screen presence and sincere performances. Nearly everyone knows about his journey as a leading man, which started in 2015 with Akhil. However, not many may know that he played the titular role in the Telugu adaptation of Baby¡¯s Day Out as a one-year-old.

When Akhil Akkineni played the titular role in Sisindri

Akhil, Nagarjuna and Amala¡¯s son, made his big screen debut as a baby with Sisindri (1995). The comedy drama was an adaptation of the Hollywood classic Baby¡¯s Day Out and featured him in the titular role. The plot centred on the events that take place when the protagonist is abducted.

The film was directed by Siva Nageswara Rao. Nagarjuna, Akhil¡¯s father and a Tollywood legend, produced the film and also essayed a key role in it. The cast included Aamani, Giri Babu, and Sarath Babu. Raj was the music director.

Coming back to the present, Akhil was last seen in Agent (2023). The spy thriller, which also featured Mammootty, bombed at the box office. He will next be seen in Akhil 6, directed by Murali Kishor Abburu. It is billed as a ¡®massy¡¯ love story and features Sreeleela as the leading lady.
