Student Of The Year 2 Actor Aditya Seal Wants Trollers To Calm Down, Compares Movie To Avengers
We wonder if he will get trolled for comparing Student Of The Year 2 with Avengers
Aditya Seal is the second lead in Student Of The Year 2, and as he puts it, is a villain in the film. After all, there can¡¯t be a hero without a villain or a bad boy.
We had a candid chat with this baddie from SOTY 2 where he spoke about the trailer being trolled, his tough journey in Bollywood and more.
To begin with, we asked him about SOTY-2 being trolled, to which he said, ¡° Not in a film or in the trailer you will find us saying that it¡¯s a true story, these are the people who would watch Avengers and say 'arey wahh kya film tha yaar, is that real? No, it¡¯s not'. They are taking you into the world which is unreal but you still want to be an Iron man or Thor, don¡¯t you?
They are taking you into a world which you believe. We are doing the exact same thing, we are creating a world for you which may or may not be real, we just want you to have a great experience, probably we want you to experience things which you haven¡¯t had and wish ¡®arey I wish kaash mera college aisa hota¡¯, it would be so much fun and all that, we are taking them into that world, I don¡¯t understand why people are saying such things, take the film as a film, and be happy, it¡¯s not a biopic at all, haters gonna be haters.¡±
To which we added that Avengers is a superhero film and it¡¯s a fantasy land which the makers are clearly mentioning and he interrupts saying ¡° But do they exists, no right? Khatam, that¡¯s a fantasy land. There are so many films that are fantasy but somewhere it touches a little reality, we ain¡¯t saying that it¡¯s a true story or it¡¯s a complete fantasy film. It¡¯s fiction so take fiction as fiction, don¡¯t be so hung up, people need to just ease out a bit.¡±
From the trolls, we moved on and spoke about his journey. Aditya started with Tum Bin 2, which tanked, however he kept on working. Spe, Aditya says,
¡° My journey has a lot of ups and downs, I have faced a lot of rejection, I wanted to do projects which I did not get and being an outsider it¡¯s not easy yaar, you have to struggle a lot, maine ghaat ghaat ka paani pia hai. I have been through every audition , I have done everything, but somewhere I knew something big is waiting for me, when Tum Bin 2 tanked it did not affect me like it had to because I somehow believed there is something bigger written for me, so I just kept working on myself. I never thought Student Of The Year 2 would be mine, but I always thought Dhoom 4 would be, I was, like main toh rahunga hi usme, I always had that bigger goal.¡±
Talking about the lesson from his failure, Adi says,
¡°I had setbacks, because I knew acceptance wouldn¡¯t be easy There are so many people who have crawled their way into the industry and I have taken inspiration from all of them. From Akshay Kumar sir to Shah Rukh Khan sir, they have made it and they are there, it did become difficult for me at times, it was heartbreaking for me and people around me, my parents were very supportive but it was heartbreaking to see them lose their hope from one project being tanked. In fact, I stopped talking to them about my work because it used to depress me a lot, so my way of dealing by just keep going because I believe in myself.¡±
Aditya has an advice for newcomers in Bollywood which is valid, ¡°The only way to survive is to keep working on yourself, be a smart worker, your homework should be so strong that no matter whoever comes on front of you, you have to be your best, that¡¯s a simple mantra , do your hard work.¡±
The film has been released today and it has been garnering some positive response. It features Tiger Shroff, Ananya Panday, Tara Sutaria and Aditya in pivotal roles.
