UI Movie box office collection day 4: UI, starring and directed by Upendra, opened to a terrific response at the domestic box office despite receiving mixed reviews. The film collected around Rs 18 crore in three days and emerged as the undisputed choice of ¡®Real Star¡¯ fans. The thriller, however, slowed down on December 23, its first Monday.
UI slows down on first Monday
UI witnessed a drop of nearly 60% on Monday after raking in Rs 5.95 crore on its first Sunday (December 23). According to Sacnilk, a trade website, the film netted Rs 2.35 crore on its fourth day.

Day 1: Rs 6.95 crore
Day 2: Rs 5.6 crore
Day 3: Rs 5.95 crore
Day 4: Rs 2.35 crore
The film¡¯s total collection stands at around Rs 20 crore. UI received mixed reviews with critics praising the concept but complaining about the screenplay. The mixed word-of-mouth is one of the reasons the thriller saw a dip on its first weekday. UI needs to stay stable today (December 24) to emerge as a success. It will, however, face competition from Sudeep's Max when it hits the screens on December 25.

UI is a psychological thriller that deals with the conflict between a king and an exceptionally talented man who manipulates people to become their dictator. It is written and directed by Upendra. The maverick performer also plays the lead role in the highly ambitious film. Murali Sharma, Reshma Nanaiah,, and Sadhu Kokila play pivotal roles in UI.. The flick has reportedly been on a budget of Rs 100 crore. This is Uppi¡¯s first release after Kabzaa (2023), failed to live up to expectations at the box office. Uppi will next be seen in Coolie, starring Rajinikanth.
