Nayanthara is one of the biggest in the film industry. ¡®Thalaivi¡¯ enjoys a strong fan following because of her strong screen presence and outspoken nature. She made her Bollywood debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Jawan (2023) and added a new dimension to her career. However, long before that, she impressed a Bollywood A-lister with her approach towards work.
When Nayanthara, Katrina Kaif teamed up for a shoot
In 2019, Nayanthara teamed up with Katrina Kaif to shoot a commercial for a leading cosmetic brand. And, not surprisingly, the Dhoom 3 star enjoyed working with the ¡®Lady Superstar¡¯. She shared a special message for Nayanthara and called her a ¡®fighter¡¯. Katrina went on to praise her work ethics and described her as a strong-willed individual.
¡°I found Nayanthara very stunning as well as I find her very strong. She comes across as a fighter. And there's also something in her... in her way of work¡she's been working from a very young age and she's very meticulous. She knows her work and she is very particular. When she was on set, I was telling my team that it's kind of like watching a mirror of yourself where you understand. You know when people say your particular but you understand why that person is like that. It was a magical day,¡± she said.
Katrina Kaif also thanked Nayanthara for being part of the shoot despite her busy schedule.
Busy time for Nayanthara
Coming back to the present, Nayanthara is going through a terrific phase on the work front. Nayanthara: Beyond The Fairytale, a documentary about her life, premiered on Netflix on November 18 and received favourable reviews. It, however, landed in a controversy when Dhanush sent a legal notice to the makers for using footage from Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, which he produced under Wunderbar Films, without his permission. Following this, Nayanthara slammed the VIP 2 star over his ¡®vile¡¯ actions and accused him of behaving like a ¡®tyrant¡¯.
Nayanthara is also awaiting the release of The Test in which she will be seen with R Madhavan. She also has Mookuthi Amman 2 in her kitty. Katrina, on the other hand, was last seen in Merry Christmas, which hit the screens in January. The mystery-thriller impressed most critics but under-performed at the box office.
