Hyderabad, Telangana School Summer Vacation 2024: As temperatures rise in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, the state governments have declared a summer break for schools, beginning on April 24th. This decision aims to alleviate the effects of the heatwave, offering students and parents much-needed relief. In Andhra Pradesh, all schools, both government and private, will remain closed until June 11th, although admissions can still take place during this period. Additionally, colleges affiliated with the AP Inter board will reopen on June 1st, while all schools in the state will resume classes on June 12th.

Due to the rising heat, Telangana schools implemented half-day schedules starting March 15th. To further address the hot weather, all schools in Telangana will be closed for summer holidays from tomorrow, April 24th, until June 11th, 2024. Both government and private schools will resume classes on June 12th. It's important to note that Telangana Intermediate colleges (1st and 2nd year) had a separate holiday schedule, running from March 30th to May 31st, and these colleges reopened on June 1st.
As per K. Lingaiah, Additional Director (Coordination) of the School Education Department, schools are set to reopen on June 12. CBSE schools have already begun their holidays since April 20. Telangana schools will observe summer vacations for approximately 50 days.
