Sip Your Way To Glowing Skin: Why Fizzy Tablets Are The New Beauty Craze
The pursuit of perfect skin and lustrous hair has been an age-old endeavour. But what if the key to unlocking beauty was as simple as dissolving a tablet in a glass of water? Fizzy drinks designed for skin and hair health are redefining the beauty game.
We all know the adage, ¡°You are what you eat¡± ¨C never truer than when it comes to healthy skin and hair. In an era where beauty trends change by the hour and ¡°glass skin¡± is the new normal, a new phenomenon has taken over beauty and wellness conversations.
Fizzy drinks, specifically designed to promote healthy skin and hair from within, are where you can get your wellness fix. Forget expensive concoctions made with pig fat and ¡°vampire facials¡±, These effervescent elixirs are revolutionising how people approach beauty.
The pursuit of perfect skin and lustrous hair has been an age-old endeavour. We¡¯ve tried countless products, spent hours watching YouTube tutorials, and experimented with every conceivable hair treatment. But what if the key to unlocking beauty was as simple as dissolving a tablet in a glass of water?
Fizzy tablets designed for skin and hair health have redefined the beauty game. Instead of relying solely on topical solutions, they offer a different approach to achieving a healthy complexion and fabulous locks.
These drinks are crafted with a blend of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that are known to boost the health and appearance of skin and hair. But what sets them apart is their unique form of delivery. And when Instagram¡¯s algorithm ensures that your feed is flooded with ads for effervescent drinks, it¡¯s tough to not give them a try.
Among the most popular effervescent tablets for skin health on the market are vitamin C and glutathione tablets, with a host of other minerals and vitamins in the mix. ¡°It¡¯s an antioxidant, so it can neutralise damageing molecules called free radicals, which accelerate signs of ageing,¡± Dr. Whitney Bowe, a US-based dermatologist, told The New York Times.
These supplements have also filtered down to Indian shores. Divyani Sengar, a Delhi-based media professional, started taking Vitamin C fizzy tablets a month ago. ¡°Since I started consuming them, I have noticed even-toned skin and reduced dark patches. But [to achieve good skin], you also need to focus on your dietary habits and ensure that you don¡¯t have a sedentary lifestyle,¡± she said, adding that she is aware that the results are not permanent.
Hydration With A Twist
While the marketing of these drinks might make it seem so, the tablets are only a supplement and not a one-stop solution to everyone¡¯s skin problems. As with every new beauty trend, it is important to analyse your skin type, identify specific issues, and only then begin taking supplements if they promise to address those issues. ¡°It¡¯s not a magic potion that can take away all your stresses. But it is easier to add a fizzy drink to your daily routine rather than spend 40 minutes on a strict beauty regimen and slathering your face with different serums and creams,¡± said Sengar.
Many scientific studies have also concluded that the fizz isn¡¯t just for show; it plays a crucial role in enhancing the absorption of essential nutrients. When these effervescent tablets or powders meet water, they create a solution that the body can absorb more effectively. This means that the beauty-boosting vitamins and minerals are delivered directly where they¡¯re needed most, ensuring you get the maximum benefit.
Mumbai-based Fullife Healthcare, the parent company of brands Fast&Up and Chicnutrix, says health supplements in the form of effervescent tablets have a ¡°better lifestyle association¡± and are receiving interest from pharmaceutical firms and health practitioners for their ability to contain a larger amount of active ingredients in one dose. They win over supplements in many other forms, like strips or gummies, because the artificial flavours in the latter can cause throat irritation.
Fizzy tablets are also suited to people with sensitive skin. Renu Singh, a Delhi-based marketing professional, said that she has seen transformative results from such drinks over a span of a few months. ¡°I have extremely sensitive skin and have been very scared to use topical products because my skin reacts badly to them. I almost always get swollen eyes, rashes, and high sensitivity that lasts for days, even when I use products that claim to be for sensitive skin, prescribed by doctors,¡± she said. Singh told me that it took her a minute to trust fizzy tablet ads. ¡°And let me tell you, I was amazed by the results. Within the first few weeks of taking Vitamin C and Glutathione tablets, I saw a noticeable difference in blemishes on my face, and my dull skin started looking quite radiant,¡± she said.
The Promise of Transformation
Since almost all of these drinks require you to mix them with water, they also promote hydration, a fundamental pillar of healthy skin. Proper hydration keeps the skin plump, helps reduce the appearance of fine lines, and supports overall skin health. Besides, most of these tablets are available in a range of delicious flavours, like citrus and berries, adding an enjoyable dimension to your daily beauty regimen.
It¡¯s a testament to the near universal chokehold that glossy skin and hair have over beauty standards, which is driving the current popularity of fizzy tablets. Many are marketed with claims of reducing blemishes, increasing skin elasticity, promoting hair growth, and enhancing the overall appearance of skin and hair. While individual results may vary, the appeal of these potential benefits is undeniable.
But as with all things that claim to make you bright and beautiful, these promises should be treated with a pinch of salt. Singh told me: ¡°The results were very noticeable in the beginning, and then over the next few weeks, I did not see any change at all. My skin is still radiant, but it¡¯s nothing like what you see in those ads.¡±
Fizzy tablets offer an effective, delicious, and convenient approach to beauty. However, it helps to remember that they are not a replacement for a well-rounded skin- and hair-care routine or a balanced diet. To ensure that they are suitable for your unique needs, consulting with a healthcare professional is not just advisable; it is essential.
Still, the fizzy tablet revolution is proof that the future of beauty doesn¡¯t just lie in creams and lotions. Cheers to beauty, one carbonated sip at a time!
