11 Things Millennials Wish Their Parents Knew In Order To Understand Them Better

Since it is given that Millennials are the ones who saw the most changes in a very short span of time, they are also the ones highly misunderstand by their parents.

The differences in opinions is nobody¡¯s fault but this issue needs attention.

While our parents had different ideas and ideologies growing up, our ideas are a lot different.

From technology to economy, there are a lot of things that have made Millennials the way they are, and this ultimately affects the way they function. However, keeping bonds and relationships in mind, we went ahead and asked a few Millennials what they wished their parents understood about them.

1. "Since I live all by myself I have a schedule that I follow. But my parents keep telling me to visit them every weekend not thinking how tiring it gets. I wish they understood that I love them with all my heart and want to visit them more often but it does get a little tough."

2. "I am currently in 12th standard and the amount of pressure my parents are drowning me in all for the sake of a good college is insane. I just wish they understood that a good college is not necessarily the only road to success. Times have changed."

3. "I am not always wasting my time on my phone. I am working on my phone 80% of the time. There are loads of things I can do on my phone other than chatting with someone for hours."

4. "Saving money for me is hard. Most of us are underpaid for the amount of work and hard work we put it. I wish they understood that I am trying to spend my thoughtfully and not just splurging on things I don't need."

5. "We understand when parents give us career advice. If we are not keenly interested in it, it is probably because the economy is different than what it used to be in your time. Parents must understand the challenges we are facing."
