This Is The ONE Thing You Need To Stop Doing To Yourself

Who is the one person you can trust without a shadow of doubt or suspicion? It's not your best friend, romantic love interest or even your family members.

It's you. You are the only person you can trust. Then why do you lie to yourself? And this is exactly the one thing you need to stop doing to yourself.

We are all guilty of it. We all have more than once talked ourselves into believing some plausible rationalization for a person's erratic, odd or flaky behaviour. We have constantly lied to ourselves because that's way easier than admitting that we're not compatible with one another.

Sometimes, our justifications or lies just delay the inevitable but the more you continue to lie yourself, the more they will lie to you. And the more excuses you make for people, the more hurt you will be.

We know what we¡¯re doing, but we do it anyway because, life. That's why you need to stop doing the following in order to stop lying to yourself.

1. If they were into you, you would know.

If the person you are interested in, isn't reciprocating in the way you would want them too, then please understand they are NOT interested. Because trust me, if it was love, you would know it. You wouldn't have to wait for texts back, you would not feel they are uninterested or whether they are loyal to you. That's the deal with love- you won't have to second guess yourself or them.

2. Don't cross oceans for people who wouldn't cross a puddle for you.

Most of the time people are selfish. You can be kind and genuine but sometimes it's not good enough. So stop giving the world to people who won't spend a passing thought on you throughout the day. Stop justifying that you are there for them when they have never been there for you.

3. People aren't busy, if they don't want to be.

No one, literally, no one is so busy that they can't take out the time to be send you a text or call in between whatever they are doing. It's called priorities. If you are someone's priority, you will never have to wait for a text back or feel ignored. But if you aren't important enough to someone, only then will you not get a reply for days, they will be missing in action. So move on, instead of make excuses about them being busy.

4. Actions always speak louder than words.

If someone is making you FEEL that you are a convenient option for them but say otherwise, then you are a convenient option for them.

If you feel someone is talking to you when they have nobody else, then you are damn right.

People may use words carelessly but it's their actions that say the most. If you are feeling a certain way that's only because you are being made to feel that way. So trust actions and stop relying things people say.

5. People are either with you or against you.

People aren't as complicated as we make them to be. If you evaluate rationally, people's actions, words, gestures and behaviors are enough to tell you whether they are with you or not. There's no point thinking, 'WHAT IF' or 'She's not so easy to understand'. Everyone runs behind things they want, if you don't seem them around then just know they are choosing to be that way.

Consider yourself warned- stop lying to yourself. That's the only way to stop from getting hurt.
