Bureaucrat shares suggestions on how to overcome hurdles during UPSC preparation
Acknowledging the struggles of preparation, Himanshu Tyagi, an Indian Forest Services (IFS) officer recently offered his insights on X.
Tyagi pinpointed four common challenges students encounter during UPSC preparation and surprisingly admitted to still experiencing them himself.
Crucially, he also provided guidance on how students can navigate these challenges and uphold a positive attitude.

Our Past
The triggers we experience are often rooted in our past experiences. Instead of attributing these triggers solely to external circumstances, Mr. Tyagi suggests reflecting on our personal history. He advises taking the time to identify major life events and addressing any unresolved issues to promote healing.
Dissatisfaction with Our Present Situation
Many triggers stem from dissatisfaction with our current circumstances, whether it's related to our job, performance, or standard of living. Mr. Tyagi emphasises the importance of delving into the root cause of this dissatisfaction. Comparison
Comparing ourselves to others often leads to triggers, particularly when it highlights our insecurities. To counteract this, Mr. Tyagi suggests embracing self-acceptance and gratitude. Our Distorted Perception
