IIT Placements 2023: Over Rs 1 Crore Packages Offered To Students By These Companies

Despite the slack in hiring by IT companies due to an overall slowdown in the US tech sector's hiring, placement season in the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) seem to be going well this year, with many job offers crossing the 1 crore package mark.
Here is a look at the placement trends in IITs in 2023:
1. IIT Kanpur Placement 2023
IIT Kanpur saw a total of 485 job offers on just day 1 of their placement drive.
428 students secured positions through a combination of campus placements and Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs) and 12 students received international job offers.
Microsoft, Navi, Texas Instruments, Qualcomm and Deutsche Bank have emerged as the top recruiters in the IIT Kanpur 2023-24.
Last year, the IIT Kanpur placement for the graduating batch of 2022-23 had seen 1,128 job offers.
2. IIT Kharagpur
There was a total of 700 placement offers on the first day of the placement session in 2023 at IIT Kharagpur.
More than 19 international offers were received by students, with six of them even being offered packages exceeding ? 1 crore.
The hiring companies included Apple, Arthur D Little, Da Vinci, Capital One, DE Shaw, EXL Services, Glean, Google, Graviton, Microsoft, McKinsey, Quantbox, Databricks, Square point, TSM and Palo Alto.
3. IIT Delhi
Students at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi, received 480 job offers on the first day of the placement season for the academic year 2023-24.
Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, and Texas Instruments were among the leading recruiters.
Around 25 students have received international job offers from different countries such as Hong Kong, Japan, Netherlands, Singapore, South Korea, United Kingdom, and United States.
4. IIT Guwahati
Students at IIT Delhi received 164 job offers from 59 companies on the first day of placements.
Out of these, as many as 11 placement offers were above Rs one crore package.
The big recruiters this were Google, Microsoft, Bajaj, HPCL, Navi, Piramal, Qualcomm and Texas Instruments among others.
