Dead whale washed up at JUHU BEACH, Mumbai last night. Dead whales are showing up in quite a lot of places. This is very alarming! For every whale washed ashore we should send 10 corrupt, environmentally unconscious, politicians into the ocean. Hopefully, one day, balance will be restored.

Thursday's incident is the latest in a series of mysterious beachings of marine mammals reported from across the country.
Last week hundreds of dead endangered Olive Ridley turtles had washed ashore in Odisha's Puri.
Earlier this month, some 100 short-finned pilot whales had beached themselves along a 15-km beach stretch in Tuticorin in Tamil Nadu.
While stranding of whales and other marine mammals like dolphins is not uncommon, mass beaching has baffled scientists for years.
A number of reasons including climate change and unnatural weather phenomena have also been known to affect whales.
Some scientists also believe that under-water earthquakes which causes panic among these ocean giants leads them to beach themselves.
