"Hey Sora, show a fully completed Ejipura flyover with vehicle movement."
This AI prompt designed for Sora, an AI tool that swiftly turns text into videos, has sparked laughter among the residents of Bengaluru - and well, all of India, as the sight of incomplete flyovers for years is a shared experience beyond Bengaluru.
It has once again underscored the city residents' frustrations concerning road issues, traffic, and similar concerns.
Peak Bengaluru
It all began with a Sora prompt given to Sam Altman.
Sam Altman is the CEO of OpenAI, the Artificial Intelligence (AI) startup that was behind ChatGPT.
"Sora can create videos of up to 60 seconds featuring highly detailed scenes, complex camera motion, and multiple characters with vibrant emotions," OpenAI said, in a social media post introducing Sora.
Last week, Sam posted on X: "We'd like to show you what sora can do, please reply with captions for videos you'd like to see and we'll start making some!"

And well, people didn't hold back.
One of the top comments was by "Peak Bengaluru," a popular ¡®X¡¯ account dedicated to all things Bengaluru.
Flyover - more like a monument of yesteryear
"Peak Bengaluru" cheekily asked Altman to produce a video visualising the completed Ejipura flyover in the southern part of the city.
The comment hints at the implausibility of seeing the flyover completed in their lifetimes with it standing unfinished for seven long years, almost as a relic of a bygone era - playfully labeled as the "Bangalore Stonehenge" by witty Google Maps users.
Initially designed to connect Ejipura and Madiwala in 2017, the realisation of the completed Ejipura flyover continues to elude, existing as a distant dream.
Even Sora cannot end Bangalore's woes
While Altman too didn't grant the much-wanted wish, but the post sparked a wave of online amusement, as users shared their whimsical prompts for Sora, sparking a lively exchange.
One user chimed in with, "Vehicle movement on any Bangalore road ;)," while another suggested, "One variation with the at-grade bus lane, wide footpaths, lots of trees, and no flyover, please."
